Every year Miami Heat’s own, Dj Irie, puts on his Irie Weekend to raise funds for his Irie Foundation, which caters to the underprivileged youth in Miami through educational and extracurricular activities. Anchoring the Irie Weekend festivities is his celebrity golf tournament featuring everyone from Miami Heat alumni, Alonzo Mourning to Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes who all came out to show support. This year Irie was honored with his second proclamation from the Mayor of Miami, Carlos A. Gimenez, for his efforts and work with the inner-city youth.
